HPOS Recruitment Update: 5,225 participants already recruited in 8 countries
One in three people with psoriasis will develop psoriatic arthritis.
The HIPPOCRATES Prospective Observational Study (HPOS), led by a research team from the University of Oxford and University College Dublin, aims to identify patients at risk of developing psoriatic arthritis.
Today, on World Psoriasis Day, we want to give you an update on the significant progress in our recruitment efforts for the HPOS study. We have already recruited 5,225 participants in 8 countries and are still looking to reach the target of 20,000 to 25,000 participants across Europe.
- UK: 2,351 participants
- Ireland: 2,000 participants
- Portugal: 504 participants
- Greece: 267 participants
- Norway: 46 participants
- Czech Republic: 45 participants
- Poland: 7 participants
- Romania: 5 participants
With Germany and the Netherlands, two more countries have just opened for registration.
If you or someone you know is an adult living with psoriasis in Europe that may be interested in joining the study, please visit the HPOS website (https://hpos.study/) to see if your country is already open for registration and join our study. Thank you for considering participation in our study. Your involvement is invaluable in advancing our understanding of psoriasis and its related conditions.
